Spring Flower Demo: The Art of Ikebana

Join Lanie Coldwell, owner of The Shy Flower in Winnetka, for a floral demonstration in the art of Ikebana, an ancient visual art known for its simplicity, clean lines, and strict adherence to rules of design.

Hands-On Program: Creating Spring Bouquets  

Our very own Amy Harris and Nicole Rivera will show us how to turn store-bought flowers into lovely spring bouquets. Participants bring a bunch of flowers and return home with an even more beautiful mixed arrangement!

Presentation: Container Gardening

Longtime Weeder Robyn Lindblad shares Container Gardening: Design Inside and Out for Seasonal Color, an inspiring slide show filled with tips on creating containers and, later, replanting container material in your garden.

Cheri Allen, owner of Village Gardeners, designed and maintains numerous gardens on the North Shore. View her garden and learn her tips on garden maintenance throughout the summer and fall.
